I stayed at Tibbiwell Lodge twice in November with my dog while visiting the area for work. Richard, the owner, & Janina, who mostly runs the B&B, were friendly & helpful beyond my expectations. I slept soundly in the terrace room which is spacious, quiet, & comfortable, with a decent size bathroom with bath & shower, & soul soothing views. There are various eateries within easily walking distance; The Falcon Inn was my choice. I'd definitely return if the opportunity arose.
We stayed in the terrace room which had a nice size room and comfortable bed and a fantastic bathroom,fantastic views from the terrace of the surrounding hills.However the breakfast was average and the sausages were a bit undercooked and still a bit pink.I cannot comment on the owner has we never saw him all the time we was there,we just occasionally saw a young woman who helped run the place.We originally looked on trip adviser to stay here where it said no pets allowed but decided to called the b&b itself to get a better deal of which we did but the owner did not mention that he had dogs and pets are actually allowed of which did make our stay awkward as my wife is allergic to pet hair.
Lovely hosts, welcoming and homely accommodation. Wonderful breakfast, would highly recommend and dog friendly too. 5 mins walk to the centre of Painswick and 10 minutes walk to the Rococo Gardens. Ideal for exploring surrounding areas. Thank you Richard and Jannina for an enjoyable weekend.
